Runtime changes, JIT changes and patterns to get the most from your code

I recently gave a talk on “What’s new for performance in .NET Core 2.0” at the CORESTART 2.0 Conference in Prague, Czech Republic.

The slides are available Download Slides [pdf], edited with links to learn more.

It was a fantasic conference at an excellent venue:

Welcome to the talk

There was a packed out audience of keen .NET developers:

Who had lots of interesting questions:

Thank you - questions?

And the conference team gave me an amazing personalized gift:

It was also great to meet up with old friends like Matt Warren who did a very intersting talk on “Microsoft and Open-Source – A ‘Brave New World’” as well as providing witty twitter commentary during my talk and good tips to a relatively new public speaker (me). Thanks Matt!

I’d like to thank Tomáš Herceg and the teams at .NET College and Riganti for making such an awesome conference and their great and welcoming hospitality!

They are doing a much larger UPDATE conference with 36 deep technical sessions, which will take place in Prague next autumn (22 – 23 November 2018) - so save the date!
